Privacy Policy

Last updated: November 29, 2025

This page explains what personal information is collected when you use this website, how it is used, and the choices you have.

This site is created and maintained by John Filo.

What information I collect

I keep things as simple as possible. The main ways information may be collected are:

1. Information you choose to share

  • Contact form / booking forms – your name, email address, time zone and any message you choose to send via the contact page or session booking forms on the services page.
  • Newsletter sign-up – your email address (and sometimes your name, if you choose to provide it) when you join via the newsletter page.

Please only share information that you are comfortable including in an email.

2. Basic website usage data

Like most websites, some technical information may be collected automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and pages visited. This is used in an aggregated way to understand how the site is being used and to keep it secure.

If simple analytics tools or error-logging services are used in future, they will be for understanding traffic patterns and improving the site, not for building advertising profiles.

How your information is used

Your information may be used to:

  • reply to enquiries or booking requests you send via the contact or session booking forms on the services page;
  • send you newsletters or updates if you have asked to receive them;
  • understand how the site is being used and improve content and usability; and
  • meet any legal or regulatory obligations.

Your details are not sold or rented to third parties.

Email and newsletter

If you join the newsletter, your email address will be stored by the email service provider used for sending newsletters. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email.

Cookies and similar technologies

This site may use small text files called cookies or similar technologies to:

  • remember simple preferences (for example, dark/light mode);
  • keep the site secure; and
  • understand aggregated usage (for example, which pages are visited most often).

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you choose to disable cookies, some parts of the site may not function as intended.

How long information is kept

Information submitted through contact or booking forms may be kept for as long as is reasonably needed to:

  • reply to your enquiry;
  • keep basic records of sessions or correspondence; and
  • meet any legal or accounting obligations.

Newsletter data is kept until you unsubscribe or the list is cleaned.

Your choices and rights

You can:

  • request to see what personal information is held about you;
  • ask for corrections if something is inaccurate; and
  • ask for your details to be deleted, unless there is a legal reason they must be kept.

To do this, please contact me via the Contact page on this site.

Children

This site and any sessions offered are intended for adults. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has submitted personal information here, please get in touch so it can be reviewed and, if appropriate, removed.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was most recently revised. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
